Assorted Quotes

lol been wanting to do this for some time. a compilation of amusing/life changing(orly no ntrly) extracts. so here goes. in no particular order.

The first relates to my 2nd post, where i mentioned dota v6.33 and some stuff about angst. well for those who saw absolutely no connection, heres the description for the Tormented Soul (a dota hero). made me decide to pick it once. but got owned =/. wdv its interesting.

Torment around me.
Torment in me.
Torment be with me.
And let us conquer our foes.
They do not understand our pain.
Do you?
No.
And for that,
We shall make them feel the torment...
The torment that inhabits my soul.

haha. corny. but angsty.

Next.

" I sat down beside him, thought about putting my arm around his shoulder, didn't do it. If you have to think about a thing like that, doing it usually feels phony. I guess, anyway."
Stephen King, from From a Buick 8

Again!

" i dont think we know all the things we're thinking. Freud might have been ful of shit about a lot of things, but not that one. I don't know about a subconscious, but there's a pulse in our heads, all right, same as there's one in our chests, and it carries unformed, no language thoughts that most times we can't even read, and they are usually the important ones."
Stephen King, from From a Buick 8

Wdv that means..the pulse in my head that i can't decipher tells me this passage is meaningful.

" People who think love is an adventure
watch too much soap.
People who think love is a joke,
watch too many romantic comedies.
People who think love doesn't exist
watch too much sleaze.
People who have no idea about love,
watch too much of everything.
In conclusion
We all watch too much television."
my friend Y.T.

Y.T. would like to say that the above passage was conjured randomly, purely for amusement purposes, and that he/she does not Truly believe in the above, so don't quote him/her on it. except of course the last two lines. thats universal Truth. Y.T. refuses to be identified for fear that this extract is too lame and he/she gets flamed.

i mentioned that the extracts would come in no particular order. well i lied. in fact ive saved the best for last. The Mother of all Entertaining Extracts.

"Iago: .............
I will go on. i lay with Cassion lately......
...................................etc etc
And then, sir, would he gripe and wring my hand,
Cry 'O, sweet creature,' then kiss me hard.
As if he plucked up kisses by the roots,
that grew upon my lips; then laid his leg
Over my thigh, and sighed and kissed, and then
Cried 'Cursed fate that gave thee to the Moor!'"
-William Shakespeare, Othello

..........and i suppose Iago enjoyed it thoroughly, and laid there and let him do it. Is it any wonder numerous theories about Iago lusting after Cassio have been spawned.
